Indesign Media Asia Pacific is a multiplatform publishing and event production company, celebrating the architecture and design industry across the greater Asia Pacific region. We serve different needs and cultures within this audience through platforms including print, online, digital and experiential. The group head office is in Sydney, with regional offices in Melbourne, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Our major print titles include Indesign magazine, DQ, Habitus magazine, Lookbox, Cubes and The Collection, as well as the syndicated Indesign Indonesia. Our online platforms include indesignlive, indesignlive.asia, habitusliving, lookboxliving and careersindesign. Our exclusive tablet app Binder hosts richly enhanced multimedia versions of Indesign, Habitus, DQ and other leading architecture and design magazines and content. Additionally, our specialised production service for design industry clients creates custom publications in print, online and digital.

Our experiential platforms bring architecture and design industries together as communities, and revolutionise the interface between brands/suppliers and specifiers. These platforms include Indesign: The Experience (formerly Saturday in Design), Launch Pad, Indesign Luminary, Habitus Conversation Series, Indesign in Discussion and WorkLife/LiveLife, staged with regularity in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Singapore, and soon Hong Kong. Although embedded within an international context, each Indesign experience is a boutique curation, symbiotic with vibrant local design cultures and nurturing local industry and emerging designers.

Raj bought his first magazine, Architectural Review Australia, at age 22 - a prelude to his boutique publishing house Indesign Media Asia Pacific (IMAP), which he launched only seven years later. Adopting a cross-platform approach, IMAP is the driving force behind numerous design events including Indesign: The Event (previously known as Saturday in Design) and the highly successful website Indesignlive. A prominent and highly active member of the international design community, Raj also sits on several boards, including the Strategic Advisory Board of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers, and the Advisory Board for Emergency Architects Australia. Adele Troeger

Adele Troeger

Operations Manager
Master of Arts (Literature)

Adele showed her ability for organising large-scale operations at a young age. When she was just out of high school, she helped institute a German-Turkish cultural exchange program, running guided tours across both countries. While studying between Germany, the UK and Italy (where she lived for two years), Adele regularly helped to organise international film festivals in Germany. She began working in publishing whilst completing a Masters in Comparative Literature at the University of Bayreuth, Germany, where she was assistant to one of the university's publishers.

This would prepare her for when she came to Australia in 2000, initially to edit an artist's biography. From there, she re-entered publishing, working for Horwitz Publications and Murdoch Books before joining Indesign in 2007, where she facilitated the company's growth from two magazines and one event to an entire stable of digital and print publications, websites and successful event formats, and the company's expansion into SouthEast Asia. Adele works across the operations of the Sydney headquarters, and the Singapore and Hong Kong offices.
